Andromeda Galaxy

In this deep telescopic observation of the core of the Andromeda Galaxy, gravity organizes billions of stars into a luminous spiral memory, where dense stellar populations and interstellar dust trace the long evolutionary history of a system similar to our own Milky Way. Under exceptionally stable atmospheric seeing at Nerpio, fine structural details emerge in the galactic nucleus, revealing how stellar dynamics, orbital resonance, and cosmic time converge into a single coherent field of motion. NOTE: The article below is an excerpt from the booklet “Sexuality, the Sea of Creation,” written by the late Mary Ritley, H.W.,M. and published by The Prosperos. We present it in celebration of Pride Month.

The Undivided Self
by Mary Ritley, H.W.,M.

So what is it  about sex? A very good question. What about it? The word sex, as mostly used, refers to gender. In ordinary English, male or female. And if that isn’t based on a dimensional viewpoint, nothing is.

But sexuality, properly speaking, isn’t dimensional at all, much less divided into two neat categories. Sexuality is energy. And energy, on any and every level, is both positive and negative—that is, both male and female. Our training may confuse the issue somewhat when we refer to its seemingly solid manifestations (such as people, of whatever sex)—but fortunately, our scientific information isn’t muddied with moral issues.

Electricity, for instance—that’s one form of energy. Both positive and negative. If it isn’t both it simply isn’t. Period. The atom itself is energy, both positive and negative (male and female) charges. And since our world is composed of atoms, we’re unavoidably immersed in a virtual sea of sexuality. But be that as it may, we do tend to look at male and female, positive and negative, as two different things. In reality, they are not separate at all, any more than the two poles (positive and negative) of a magnet are separate. You haven’t got a positive or a negative magnet: all you have is magnet, plain and simple. In short, no only-male or only-female. Just male/female.

Thus far so good. Even the most orthodox have to admit that. But the impartiality ends when it comes to man himself. For despite all those male/female atoms of his, man is supposed to be an all-one-or-the-other proposition, either male or female. Obviously, this can’t be so, even on the atomic level. Taking it a step further, even chromosomes are both male and female, and sperm and ovum must be both male and female for conception to take place.

This happy arrangement, however, supposedly doesn’t last. At least, the newborn infant is at once inspected and pronounced either male or female, on observing the genitals. This is not to quarrel with the observation, but there is an obvious question to ask:

What happened to the “other half”?

Where did all the femaleness of the male infant go, and vice versa? Did it die out, or simply disappear? Where did it go? Nowhere at all. From the atom up, we are all male/female, not male or female. This is not confined to the biological structure alone. Sexuality is energy, which is in itself a formless force. It expresses in innumerable forms, and the biological structure is just one of these. But man is more than a mere biological machine.

The reality of man is consciousness. Consciousness is energy. Energy—male and female. So in the very reality of his being, man is male/female principle. One very important fact has to be stressed here. Sexuality, like the magnet, cannot be divided into two halves. It cannot be more positive than negative, any more than the positive pole of a magnet can be stronger than the negative pole. So man can never be more male than female, or more female than male. Maleness and femaleness, in reality, are equally present in his nature.

Unfortunately, our early training says otherwise. The child is taught to believe that he is either male or female. If male, he must show only those traits labelled “masculine.” Any tendencies to be “feminine” are avoided or repressed. The reverse is true of the supposedly female child. Each learns to repress the part of himself that supposedly belongs to the “opposite” sex. The consequences can be grave enough from the ordinary point of view—such as when the small boy grows up to be contemptuous of women, or the small girl grows up fearful of men. But from another standpoint, the results are far more serious. The child has learned to distrust a part of himself, not of someone else. His feelings toward the “other” sex can only be the outpicturing of his feelings toward that part of his own nature.

Yin/Yang — the balance

Nowadays we find a slightly more enlightened point of view. Every male, it says, has some female traits, and every female has some male traits. But it still maintains that only a certain amount of maleness or femaleness may be expressed in the “normal” person. Too much of either is unacceptable, Moreover, it dictates how this maleness or femaleness may be expressed. A woman can now take up traditionally masculine sports, a man can develop a taste for poetry, but even so, limits are imposed.

Innately, man does sense his wholeness, his undivided maleness/femaleness, because it is his real nature. As consciousness, he is both male and female and knows himself to be such. Hence the sense of incompleteness he feels as a male or female creature. Through the centuries, man has always striven to experience this union that is his real nature. But since he has believed that he is unisexual, he has usually sought his “other half” in someone else, someone of the “opposite” sex.

Even so, man is always alone with his own state of awareness, and can experience only that which is in his own awareness. The masculinity or femininity he perceives in another is, in reality, something that exists only in his own awareness. Otherwise, he could not perceive it in another at all. “The other,” after all, exists only as his awareness of the other.

In our own culture, seeking, finding and uniting with the “other half” is quite acceptable. But this, too, is based on the notion that there are two separate and opposite sexes. Sexual relations are acceptable only between people of “opposite” sexes. But bear in mind that there are really no opposite sexes at all, since everyone is both male and female. In short, every sexual relationship is a relationship between two male/females. From this viewpoint there is simply no difference between a heterosexual relationship and a homosexual one. Both involve two male/females. Both are simply expressions of male/female sexuality—no more, no less.        Bearing in mind that one is never more male than female, or vice versa, we can see that our traditional stereotypes of the homosexual must be re-examined. Actually, the fluttery Southern belle is every bit as masculine as the dyke in black leathers. The only difference is that one expresses her masculinity and the other does not. And one might add, both are equally feminine, in reality.

Sexuality is creative energy, male/female creativity. Any form of creativity must involve the use of both male and female factors. To suppress one’s maleness or femaleness on any level is to suppress part of one’s creative ability. This is so whether we speak of creative thinking, of composing, painting, or developing healthy sexual relationships. Man’s latent intuitive and creative capacities can function only when, in consciousness, the male/female factors are allowed full expression. He must recognize and accept these factors of himself. Then, and only then, does he feel complete within himself, no longer a mere half, but a Whole Man.

A life without love is of no account. Don’t ask yourself what kind of love you should seek, spiritual or material, divine or mundane, eastern or western…divisions only lead to more divisions. Susan V. Whittaker, PhD, DMs, MS is an educator, researcher, and author whose life’s work bridges childhood development, intuition, and human connection. She brings more than 25 years of experience as a first-grade teacher, where her classroom became a living laboratory for observing children’s natural intuitive and nonverbal communication abilities—long before these topics entered public conversation. Raised in remote Alaska Native communities, Susan grew up in cultures where awareness, relational sensitivity, and communication beyond words were woven into daily life. Elders and teachers emphasized listening, observation, and emotional coherence, shaping her understanding of how children perceive and interact with the world. These early experiences profoundly informed her later work in education and conscious parenting. Susan holds advanced degrees in education and metaphysical science and is the author of Raising Telepathic Children: A New Guide for Intuition, Energy, and Conscious Parenting. The book offers parents, grandparents, and caregivers a compassionate framework for recognizing and supporting children’s intuitive awareness in practical, grounded ways. Rather than presenting telepathy as something exotic, Susan frames it as a natural extension of empathy, perception, and relational connection—capacities that are often strongest in early childhood. Her work has been endorsed by leading voices in epigenetics, energy medicine, and sound healing, including Bruce H. Lipton, PhD; Dr. Bradley Nelson; James Oschman, PhD. Through her writing, teaching, and interviews, Susan invites families to reconsider what children already know and how nurturing clarity, coherence, and presence can deepen connection across generations. Her work emphasizes listening, trust, and the quiet intelligence that emerges when children are met with respect for their inner knowing. For more information: www.DrSuesBooks.com  Joining me as co-host for this show will be my wife Andi Goldman. Trump Is (Almost) Over

His power is whooshing away

Robert Reich Jun 4, 2026

Friends,

No, he’s not over over. I wish he were. But something important has changed.

Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to direct him to withdraw U.S. forces from Iran or win approval from Congress to continue the war. It was a remarkable rebuke. Four Republicans sided with Democrats.

His “short-term excursion” into Iran, which he promised in late February would last no more than “four to five weeks,” has now entered its fourth month, with no end in sight. His claim to have “destroyed” Iran’s missiles and drones is belied by Iran’s massive attack on Kuwait on Tuesday. Iran still controls the Strait of Hormuz. Its highly enriched uranium remains hidden. Even MAGAs have had enough of his forever war.

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans are rebelling. They’ve forced Trump to abandon the $1 billion request for his gilded ballroom, which was becoming ever more grotesque as Americans struggle to make ends meets.

His $1.8 billion Thug Fund is also dead, largely because a significant number of previously gutless Republicans (including — gasp! — Lindsey Graham) pushed back.

Trump’s name is coming off the Kennedy Center because a federal judge ordered it off and no Republicans came to his defense.

Even Trump’s endorsement is losing its magic. On Tuesday, Iowa voters rejected Trump’s choice for governor, Randy Feenstrawhom Trump called “MAGA all the way.” It was Trump’s first major endorsement loss.

And even with Stephen Colbert off the air, Trump has become a bigger late-night joke than ever. All the entertainers — even the B- and C-list also-rans desperate for exposure — dropped out of his 250th anniversary ego trip. So he’s going to be the headliner in a four-hour Fidel Castro speech. Good luck with that.

His Ultimate Fighting Championship event on the White House’s South Lawn has become a one-liner. To attend, military members have to pay their way to Washington and cannot have a waist size more than 55 percent of their height. (“No Fatties at UFC White House Event,” declared a Facebook page.) We’ll see how many show up.

As if all this weren’t enough, he’s nominated an unqualified sycophantic MAGA mortgage clown to be the director of national intelligence — an action so absurd that even Mitch McConnell had to object: “Anyone performing this role of such immense public trust must have the extensive national security experience required by statute, and no nominee who falls short of this requirement will earn my vote.” Get ready for a circus of a Senate confirmation fight.

No, Trump’s not done. He’ll continue to torment us with his cruelty, corruption, and criminality for some time, so we have to keep fighting.

But his power is disappearing. He’s become a lame duck whose quack no longer causes anyone to quake.

He has no one to blame but himself. His hubris finally reached its own breaking point.

Book: “Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood”

Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood

Marjane SatrapiMattias Ripa (Translator)

In powerful black-and-white comic strip images, Satrapi tells the story of her life in Tehran from ages six to fourteen, years that saw the overthrow of the Shah’s regime, the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, and the devastating effects of war with Iraq. The intelligent and outspoken only child of committed Marxists and the great-granddaughter of one of Iran’s last emperors, Marjane bears witness to a childhood uniquely entwined with the history of her country.

Persepolis paints an unforgettable portrait of daily life in Iran and of the bewildering contradictions between home life and public life. Marjane’s child’s-eye view of dethroned emperors, state-sanctioned whippings, and heroes of the revolution allows us to learn as she does the history of this fascinating country and of her own extraordinary family. Intensely personal, profoundly political, and wholly original, Persepolis is at once a story of growing up and a reminder of the human cost of war and political repression. It shows how we carry on, with laughter and tears, in the face of absurdity. And, finally, it introduces us to an irresistible little girl with whom we cannot help but fall in love.

About the author

Marjane Satrapi

Marjane Satrapi (Persian: مرجان ساتراپی) was born in Rasht (Iran, 22nd November 1969 – Paris, June 4th, 2026). Conditioned by the extremism of the 1979 Revolution, her parents sent her to Vienna in 1983 to finish her studies at the French Lyceum in the Austrian capital. She later returned to Tehran and enrolled in the School of Fine Arts, but, in 1994, she moved to France before graduating. She studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg (currently, Haute école des arts du Rhin) and later moved to Paris. According to specialists, Marjane Satrapi is one of the most prominent names in international comics, author of what is, for many, one of the best graphic novels ever published: Persepolis (2000), an autobiographical story that narrates her childhood and adolescence in Iran, of which it has been said that “few works have had such an ability to permeate pop culture and, at the same time, be one of the best historical narratives of our time”. Persepolis won the Angoulême Coup de Coeur Award for Best New Author at the Angoulême Festival. In 2001, the second volume also received the award for Best Script at Angoulême. The third and fourth volumes achieved even greater popularity, garnering international success. In 2007, she teamed up with Vincent Paronnaud to turn the comic into an animated film. The adaptation won the Film Critics Grand Prix at the Cannes Festival in 2007 and the César Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2008, in addition to being nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 2008 Oscars. Other notable works of hers include Broderies (2003) (Embroideries, 2005) and Poulet aux prunes (2004) (Chicken with Plums, 2006), which was also adapted to film in 2011. In 2023, she coordinated the book Femme, vie, liberté (Woman, Life, Freedom, 2024) together with political scientist Farid Vahid and historian Abbas Milani, both Iranians, and French reporter Jean-Pierre Perrin, in addition to an international group of seventeen comic book authors (including Spaniards Patricia Bolaños and Paco Roca and several Iranians). In this work, she illustrates the revolts that occurred in Iran after the murder of Mahsa Amini in 2022 at the hands of the so-called “morality police”, and denounces the repression and lack of human rights that, according to Satrapi, Iranian society, especially women, suffer at the hands of the regime. The Persian version of this book is accessible online for free to all Iranians.

In addition to the film adaptation of Persepolis, Satrapi has directed the films La Bande des Jotas (The Gang of Jotas, 2012), The Voices (2014) and Radioactive (2019), a biography of scientist Marie Curie. Another discipline in which she has stood out has been painting, with important exhibitions in Parisian galleries such as the Galerie Jérôme de Noirmont. This year, a tapestry designed by Satrapi commissioned by France’s statutory Mobilier Nacional is on display at the Hôtel de la Marine in Paris to mark the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. Commander of France’s Order of Arts and Letters, Marjane Satrapi holds honorary degrees from the Belgian universities UC Louvain and KU Leuven. She was elected member of the French Academy of Fine Arts in 2024.
