July Astrology Forecast 2025

The Astrology Podcast Jun 30, 2025 Monthly Astrology Forecasts A look ahead at the astrological forecast for July of 2025, with astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock of The Astrology Podcast! We spend the first hour of the episode talking about the astrology of news and events that have occurred since our last forecast, and then in the second hour we transition into talking about the astrology of July, starting at 1 hour and 3 minutes into the episode. July opens with Uranus entering the sign of Gemini on July 7, which it hasn’t visited since the 1940s, and beginning the long-anticipated Uranus return of the United states.   In the first half of the month Saturn and Neptune both make their first retrograde station in Aries, and move into a very close conjunction with each other in the sky, coming within less than a degree of orb for the first time since the late 1980s.   There is also a Mercury retrograde period in Leo that begins in the middle of the month, and then doesn’t conclude until early August.   In this episode we also celebrate our 10th anniversary of doing forecasts together! Human History on Drugs: An Utterly Scandalous but Entirely Truthful Look at History Under the Influence

Sam Kelly

Not yet published Expected 8 Jul 25

A lively, hilarious, and entirely truthful look at the druggie side of history’s most famous figures, including Shakespeare, Queen Victoria, and the Beatles, from debut author (and viral historical TikToker with nearly 100K followers) Sam Kelly

Did you know that Alexander the Great was a sloppy drunk, William Shakespeare was a stoner, and George Washington drank a spoonful of opium every night to staunch the pain from his fake teeth? Or how about the fact that China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi, ingested liquid mercury in an (ironic) attempt to live forever, or that Alexander Shulgin, inventor of no less than 230 new psychedelic drugs, was an employee of the DEA?

In Human History on Drugs, historian Sam Kelly introduces us to the history we weren’t taught in school, offering up irreverent and hysterical commentary as he sheds light on some truly shocking aspects of the historical characters we only thought we knew. With chapters spanning from Ancient Greece (“The Oracle of Delphi Was Huffing Fumes”) and the Victorian Era (“Vincent van Gogh Ate Yellow Paint”) to Hollywood’s Golden Age (“Judy Garland Was Drugged by Grown-Ups”) and modern times (“Carl Sagan Got Astronomically High”), Kelly’s research spans all manner of eras, places, and, of course, drugs.

History is rife with drug use and drug users, and Human History on Drugs takes us through those highs (pun intended) and lows on a wittily entertaining ride that uncovers their seriously unexpected impact on our past.

Heavenly Authorities Arrest God For Leaving Children In Overheating Planet

News, News In Brief

Published: October 16, 2017 (TheOnion.com)

THE HEAVENS—Charging the supreme being with felony reckless endangerment, heavenly authorities placed the Lord our God, Divine Creator and Ruler of the Universe, under arrest Monday for leaving His children trapped in an overheating planet. “While it’s possible for even the most attentive deity to momentarily forget how quickly a planet’s temperature can rise, that’s no excuse for such horrifying negligence,” said the archangel Selaphiel, noting that The Almighty had put not just one of his children at risk, but billions. “Frankly, we’re lucky we got there and pried open the atmosphere when we did or they would have all been gone in less than 100 years.” At press time, a tearful God said He had only left to run a brief errand just on the other side of the galaxy and said He would never forgive Himself.

Joseph Campbell on stories

“People forget facts but they remember stories”  Joseph Campbell

Joseph John Campbell (March 26, 1904 – October 30, 1987) was an American writer and scholar who specialized in comparative mythology and religion. His work explored the universal role of myth across cultures and the common themes found in myths worldwide. Campbell is best known for his 1949 book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, which argues that all mythologies and religious stories share the same structure.

The Prosperos Community Calendar for July 2025

Community UpdateJuly 2025

Celebrating CommunityA Month of New Beginnings in The Season of Celebration

As the month of June ushers in a flurry of weddings and graduations, you might say June is the month of celebration. In fact, the word June comes from Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage. Newlyweds are starting their new life as a couple. School is over and students are having a last fling before going off to college. Parents are packing the family SUV for vacations, opening to the new rhythms of Summertime.

June has both the longest days of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere) and the shortest (in the Southern Hemisphere). June is also the month we celebrate Father’s Day and the start in earnest to grilling-on-the-barbeque outdoor living. Just throw a stone in any direction and you’re bound to hit a party-goer, as everywhere we celebrate new beginnings.

In The Prosperos, we celebrate new beginnings of a different sort.
For within the heart of every person, a field of pure potentiality becomes a doorway through which the originality and genius of each person can enter the world. We leave behind ideas that are just never big enough to house the extraordinary essence of the human soul. We find new beginnings, the unpredictable good hidden within every moment and every circumstance.

Why You’ll Love Assembly!
by Calvin Harris, H.W.,M.

Growing up in the 1950s, a two-week summer sleep-away camp promised endless adventures and limited parental supervision, it was a child’s version of heaven. When I was a young teen, I went to a Southern California mountains camp. It was the first place I ever rode a horse in the woods, shot a bow and arrow, and went lake swimming/canoeing – it was also where I had my first experience as a teen with other teens my age and older who supported each other in group activities.

Over the years some of these memories have faded into the cycle of adult responsibilities, but I have always looked for opportunities to rekindle that supportive not-a-care-in-the-world feeling, even just for a little while. The Prosperos Assemblies have held this promise for me as well as – expect the unexpected – in learning something new, coupled with a type of camaraderie built on mutual trust and friendship among like-minded people who spend time together.

When I was a kid, it was never too early to start dreaming, imagining, thinking or planning for summer camp. As a kid it seemed like it took forever to get to the day I would be leaving for camp, but in real time, if arrangements had not been made in the appropriate time frame, summer camp could be out-of-reach because the opportunity to make reservations had come and gone, or beds had reached capacity far before the final day for registration.

As it turns out, I’m not the only one who dreams of summer camp – today, more and more groups and hotels are offering programming that is geared toward adults, yet designed to re-create the feeling of childhood discovery and wonder. The Prosperos is one of them. While many types of groups around the world offer these camp-like vibes, The Prosperos presents the real deal and has since 1957Your experience in Assembly will be one that will linger in your consciousness as path-changing. After all, you have come to experience the unexpected.Vesper Flights

Tarot Card for June 30: The Tower

The Tower

There are many aspects of the Tower that should remind us of the lessons to be learned within the Death card. All life is change – we can either surrender to this, or fight against it. What the Tower teaches us is that the power of life is undeniable. We can learn our lessons the easy way – by being open and accepting; or we can do things the hard way, clinging to things and ideas that no longer work for us. In that case, life will come along and, like a hurricane, batter us with the winds of change till we submit! So… on a Tower day, we need to examine ourselves to identify the things to which we are clinging that no longer serve us well. We need to be alert to the concepts life itself presents us with. So this day could be one in which people talk relevantly to you, without knowing that they are doing that. Listen carefully for random symbols which will point you in the right direction. When the Tower rules, it is possible that unexpected events will take place that you hadn’t seen coming. If so, remember that to resist change is to deny life, and bear in mind that life is eventually going to win this battle anyhow – so lie back, relax and accept. And keep your sense of humour close at hand!Sometimes we will be asked to take a blind leap of faith under the influence of the Tower – remember this card signals breakthrough and extension – growth from experience, and self trust. Whenever you are unsure about your abilities to deal with things, remind yourself what you have already passed through in your life. There’s a river of knowledge flowing through you already.

Affirmation: “I trust to myself and to life.”
