Book: “On the Study of Words” by Richard Trench, D.D.

“On The Study of Words” by Rev. Richard Chenevix Trench, D.D. Archbishop Paperback – April 12, 2016

In 1851 Rev Richard Trench established his fame as a philologist by The Study of Words, originally delivered as lectures to the pupils of the Diocesan Training School, Winchester. His stated purpose was to demonstrate that in words, even taken singly, “there are boundless stores of moral and historic truth, and no less of passion and imagination laid up”—an argument which he supported by a number of apposite illustrations.

Suppose that the elimination method results in the equation 0=0

What does this indicate about the number of solutions to the system of equations.

(a) The system has infinitely many solutions.

(b) The system has three solutions.

(c) The system has two solutions.

(d) The system has no solutions.

(Which one is it?)

1 ANSWER:

John R.

Mooresville, IN

If the elimination produces the equation 0=0, then the two equations are for the same line.  This means that there are an infinite number of solutions.

SUNDAY NIGHT TRANSLATION GROUP — SEPTEMBER 3, 2017

To quote Heather Williams, H.W., M., “Translation is the creative process of re-engineering the outdated software of your mind.” Translation is a 5-step process using syllogistic reasoning to transform apparent man and the universe back into its essential whole, complete and perfect nature.  Through the process of Translation, reality is uncovered and thus revealed. Through word tracking, getting to the essence of the words we use to express our current view of reality, we are uncovering the underlying timeless reality of the Universe.

Sense testimony:

Persons can use your past history to separate you from your infinite source.

Conclusions

  1. The ONE infinite self is a timeless continuity of the eternal, and is always boundlessly providing in perfect capacity.
  2. Truth is one inseparable Person knowing/history, relating to and having dominion over Infinity, going at its own pace.
  3. The Radiant Truth is Self Evident all Powerful, All Knowing All Presence. Abundant Sound Harmonious Universal Integrity, the only vision, the only plan, the only pass, the only way through, the dependable whole, the only place to be and the only story to tell.
  4. The living Being “I” is the only role that I AM, its all encompassing rule that is the clear source of my own oneness in the Infinite.
  5. To come.

“The Urge for Adventure — September 2017” from siteofcontact.net

Hiker with Sun.jpg

Hey Guys,
Last month in the August issue, I passed on some great ideas for exploration, and reasons to get up off the couch, and that was beside the Solar Eclipse. Perhaps many who watched the eclipse were inspired to reflect and to become more of their awesome best.
September offers yet another variety of opportunities to increase your social activity or enhance your social skills to attract success. September is considered the Self-Improvement Month.  Engaging in activities this month might help you find something valuable about yourself. It is all the more reason for you to get off that couch and out that door, or at least to set a goal to hone any latent ability you might have tucked away.

“Por Que Llorax Blanca Nina” — Sephardic Jewish music from Sarajevo

Por Que Llorax Blanca Nina (Sephardic Jewish music from Sarajevo)
Jordi Savall, Montserrat Figueras

POR QUE LLORAX BLANCA NINA? (WHY DO YOU WEEP FAIR CHILD?)

Por que llorax blanca nina,
Por que llorax blanca flor?

-Lloro por vos cavallero
Que vos vax y me dexax.

Me dexax nina y muchacha,
Chica y de poca edad.

Tengo ninos chiquiticos,
Lloran y demandan pan.

Si demandan al su padre,
Que repusta les vo a dar?

Metio la mano en su pecho,
Cien dovlones le fue a dar.

Esto para que m’abasta,
Para vino o para pan?

Si esto no vos abasta,
Ya tenex d’onde tomar.

Venderex vinas y campos,
De la parte de la mar.

Vos asperarex a los siete.
Si no, a los ocho vos cazax.

Tomarex un mancevico.
Que paresca tal y cual.

Que se vista las mis ropas,
Sin sudar y sin manchar.

Esto que sintiu su madre,
Maldicion le fue a echar.

“Todas las naves del mundo,
Vayan y bolten con pas.

Y la nave del mi hijo,
Vaya y no abolte jamas”

Paso tiempo y vino teimpo,
Descarino le fue a dar.

Asentada en la ventana,
La que da para la mar.

Vido venir navezica,
Navegando por la mar

Asi biva el Capitan
Que me diga la verdad.

Si veriax al mi hijo,
Al mi hijo caronal?

Ya lo vide al su hijo,
Al su hijo caronal.

Echado en aquellos campos,
La tierra tema por cama,
Y el cielo por cuvierta.

Tres buracos el tenia
Por el uno le entra el aire.
Por el otro le entra el sol.

Y por el mas chico de ellos,
Le entra sale el lunar.

Esto que sintio su madre,
A la mar se fue a echar.

No vos echex la mi madre.
Que yo so tu hijo caronal.

Ye se bezan y se abrasan.
Y se van a pasear.

WHY DO YOU WEEP FAIR CHILD?

Why do you weep fair child?
Why do you weep fair flower?

I weep for you, my knight,
For you go and leave me alone.

In me you leave a girl, a mere child.
A young girl of tender years.

Tiny little babes have I
Who cry and ask for bread.

If they ask for their father,
How shall I answer them?

He put his hand in his pocket,
And a hundred doubloons gave her then.

What good is this to me?
Enough to buy win or bread?

Is this not enough for you.
You have other means instead.

You shall sell both fields and vineyards,
One half of the town you shall sell.

You shall sell both fields and vineyards,
Those that lie close to the sea.

Seven years you shall wait for me,
But the eighth year you shall marry.

A fine young man you hen shall wed.
in all respects like me.

Then let him all my garments wear,
By sweat and stains unblemished.

On hearing this, his mother-in-law
Cursed him with these words.

“Let all the ships that are in the world
sail to and from in peace.

Save only my son’s ship.
Let it sail and never come back.”

Time it cam and time it went.
To longing she fell prey.

And as she sat at her window.
That looked towards the sea.

She saw a little sailing ship
Sailing upon the sea.

God save you, my good Captain.
I beg you, tell me true.

Have you seen my son, perchance,
My own dear heart, my son?

Yes indeed I have seen him,
Your own dear heart, your son.

He was lying in distant fields
Upon a bed of earth,
With only the sky for mantle.

He had three holes in his body.
Through one the wind did blow,
Through the other the sun’s light shone

And thought the smallest of the three
The moon did come and go.

On hearing this, his mother
Went to cast herself in the sea.

Mother do not drown in the sea,
It is I, your heart’s own son.

Then the two embraced and kissed
And together they walked away.

Mystical Experience of Blaise Pascal

Blaise Pascal (1623 – 1662) was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Christian philosopher. His numerous works include “Experiences nouvelles touchant le vide,” “Traité du triangle arithmétique,” and “De l’Esprit géométrique.”

Pascal recorded his mystical experience on a scrap of paper which was found sewn up in his doublet after his death.

“From about half past ten in the evening to about half an hour after midnight.
Fire.
God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob,
Not the God of philosophers and scholars.
Absolute Certainty: Beyond reason. Joy. Peace.
Forgetfulness of the world and everything but God.
The world has not known thee, but I have known thee.
Joy! joy! joy! Tears of joy!”

Quoted by F.C. Happold from Mysticism: A Study and an Anthology.

An Indian Prayer

Oh, Great Spirit,
whose voice I hear in the winds
and whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me.
I am small and weak.
I need your strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made
and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand
the things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden
in every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be superior to my brother,
but to fight my greatest enemy – myself.
Make me always ready to come to you
with clean hands and straight eyes,
so when life fades, as the fading sunset,
my spirit will come to you
without shame.

“Where is Saturn in your chart” by Robert McEwen, H.W., M.

Wonder where Saturn is in your chart?  Many of you call asking for a session about this very fact.  Saturn plays a significant part in the life of every human being. Some modern astrologers will place the same enormous importance on this karmic god as they would the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. More commonly, Saturn’s teachings will force us along a footpath towards duty and destiny. However, an ordinary interpretation, especially within traditional astrology, understands Saturn to have always stood for boundaries and limitations. However, with the later discovery of the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto), it has since been viewed as more of a gateway, leading us from the realm of the known towards the unknown.  Saturn placement, the house, sign and aspects in your natal horoscopes lays out your daily habits and how you set limits upon yourself and others.  Some fear is involved for it rules separation from other people and things valued.

Saturn symbolizes the unacceptable side of our nature, and it is believed that by accepting the hidden qualities within ourselves – acknowledging this sense of inferior feeling – we unlock the prison door. Projection is also a major factor with this planet and we often see its face in others or qualities we despise. Most of the shadowy element of any soul, lives in the unconscious and we do not wish it to be acknowledged, but this is also the source of our inner riches. In Saturn’s realm, it is a complex world of frustration, delays, rejection and unfulfilled desires. It can take a lifetime to integrate our shadow and there is always a fated element at work. For at some point, we must confront all of our worst fears. The frustrating experiences will force us to face our responsibilities and these are necessary. Everyone at some time has felt the “malefic” nature of the planet, bringing us bad luck, hard times and a painful situation.

Explore your Saturn placement and where Saturn is transiting in your chart now.  The SEVEN YEAR cycles are most important in your physical evolution on planet earth.

Cicero on fools

“It is the peculiar quality of a fool to perceive the faults of others and to forget his own.”

–Marcus Tullius Cicero (January 3, 106 B.C.E. – December 7, 43 B.C.E.) was a Roman politician and lawyer, who served as consul in the year 63 BC. He came from a wealthy municipal family of the Roman equestrian order, and is considered one of Rome’s greatest orators and prose stylists. Wikipedia
