In Bohemia, during the early years of the seventeenth century, there existed for about twenty years a tolerant mixture of alchemists, kabbalists, Muslim scholars, Catholics, hermeticists, protestants, philosophers, and troubadours. It was a continuation of humanity’s authentic, life-giving tradition. While it ended with the beginning of the Thirty Years War, it also was a seed for the German Romantic movement.
