| Deep and Rapid Transformation ConvergenceNew York City – Sept. 19 Hosted by our collaborative Impact Networks through the Evolutionary Leaders Circle, 90 thought leaders and activists from around the world gathered at the historic Synod House of the Cathedral St. John the Divine in New York City in advance of the United Nations Peace Week Summit of the Future.  Assembling for a private, day-long Deep and Rapid Transformation Convergence, visionary leaders will address seven arenas of urgent global issues in response to the U.N.’s call for “We the People” to join in the global vision of a Pact for the Future. This initiative came out of several Synergy Circles and Collaboratories of the Evolutionary Leaders Circle, particularly the SDG Thought Leaders Circle and Unitive Narrative Synergy Circle.    The day, based on three months of prior preparation through virtual roundtables across all seven Dimensions of the event, was aimed primarily at ongoing impact and ongoing activity of the DRTC groups through media and other avenues of direct engagement. Land of the Rising Sun Peace Journey to JapanBy Deborah Moldow and Lise Berman Fifty-one peace pilgrims from around the world, including musicians, spiritual leaders of various faiths and indigenous ceremonial leaders, gathered together in the Land of the Rising Sun to journey together toward peace. Beautifully orchestrated by Ben Bowler of Unity Earth and Fumi Johns Stewart of May Peace Prevail on Earth International, we brought our prayers and music for peace to Tokyo, Mt. Fuji and Hiroshima. All our activities were under the banner of Unite 4 Peace, a global campaign centered around the United Nations International Day of Peace on September 21st. Evolutionary Leaders participating were Pato Banton, Mindahi Bastida, Ben Bowler, Mussie Hailu, Olivia Hansen, Kristin Hoffmann, Yuka Saionji Matsuura, Dot Maver, Deborah Moldow, Jon Ramer, Sommer Joy Ramer, Antoinette Rootsdawtah, Kwadjo SPiRi, and Fumi Johns Stewart. The first stop was Tokyo, where the innovative Tokyo Convergence took place under the excellent stewardship of the Goi Peace Foundation. We were warmly welcomed by Masami Saionji, chairperson, and Hiroo Saionji, president. Our international delegation met with about 50 young Japanese peace leaders in a rich exchange of cultures and visions for peace, including the voices of young people.  The group journeyed on to Fields of Healing at the Fuji Sanctuary, a special spot of grace and natural beauty dedicated to prayers for peace in every country of the world and awakening the divinity within all of humanity. This was a deeply spiritual experience, with Mrs. Saionji (also chairperson of Byakko Shinko Kai, or the White Light Society) insisting that no one had come by coincidence, but rather that we were all needed to help guide humankind to a brighter future, even (or perhaps especially) when the outer circumstances did not look promising. We were treated to a film about the life of the inspiring founder of “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” Masahisa Goi, and then enjoyed a powerful ceremony led by indigenous leaders Uncle Shane Charles (Australia), Mindahi Bastida (Mexio), Angelica Cubides (Ecuador), Pat McCabe (USA), and Standing Bear (Canada). We also learned the Divine Spark IN, a series of mudras, in preparation for the activities planned for the great prayer field the following day. The next day we were greeted by 700 Byakko members and staff assembled on the prayer field to welcome us with warm smiles and waves. We were told it would be such a small number because it was a weekday, as the Sanctuary hosts thousands every month to pray for peace! Fumi led the event, first introducing indigenous prayer leaders, then an array of musical guests from various parts of the world. A highlight was a vocal piece by Kristin Hoffmann, who invited diverse spiritual leaders to say brief prayers over her glorious sounds. The high point of the day was the grand World Peace Prayer Ceremony, where flag bearers presented to large flags of each country of the world, announced by Dot Maver. Fumi said a prayer in every official language and all responded with “May Peace Prevail in [that country],” and finally in All the Other Regions of the World.” Afterward, Hadji Syed Salman Chishty of the Adjmar Sharif in India, presented a global peace award to both the Goi Peace Foundation and Unity Earth. The following day, still buzzing from the high frequency of our prayers at Fuji Sanctuary, we traveled by bullet train to Hiroshima for the final leg of our journey. Coordinating the movement of 51 people, along with our luggage and musical instruments, onto a train with doors that only stay open for a few minutes was quite a feat! It was a powerful reminder that together, we can achieve more than we can as individuals. This unity was evident as we navigated the transfer to another bullet train on our way to Hiroshima.  Visiting the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum on September 21, the International Day of Peace, was an unforgettable experience. We saw the devastating images, learned about what took place on the fateful morning of August 6, 1945, when an atomic bomb razed and burnt 70% of all buildings and caused an estimated 140,000 deaths by the end of 1945, along with increased rates of cancer and chronic disease among the survivors. Sitting in a circle afterward, we shared our grief and heartbreak. One of the most impactful moments was hearing from an 86-year-old survivor of the blast, Toshiko Tanaka, who was a small child at the time. Her journey of healing through art and her friendships with people from around the world was truly inspiring and a testament to the resilience and hope that drive peacebuilders everywhere.  Our pilgrimage concluded with a Live Global Broadcast on Hubcast Network and Unity Earth TV, featuring messages from diverse spiritual leaders and performances by our talented international musicians. On our final day, we visited Hiroshima Park, where we offered a flag ritual in front of the Atomic Bomb Dome, with prayers for peace for every country in the world. The event closed with a concert along the Motoyasu River, a fitting end to our journey. May Peace Prevail on Earth |

Pilgrimage in CambodiaBy Charles Vogl Mostly old temples look old. We appreciate the plant covered surfaces, the displaced and fallen stones, even the lingering odor of bat urine. To many visitors the crooked buildings look like left over relics from a long time lost wealth, activity, and grandeur. This July I joined Evolutionary Leaders Shaman Mindahi Bastida and Jeff Vander Clute for a pilgrimage week of ceremonies, contemplation and exploring among a handful of the over 100 sacred sites in the Siem Reap area in Cambodia. The most famous temple in the area is Angkor Wat. Over 1,000 years old, it remains among, if not indeed still, the largest sacred temple in the world.  I had visited the area several times before and felt the energy of the sites. I had wondered and marveled at the wisdom, skills, insight and vision of people that could build such magnificent spaces. They built spaces that today put millions in awe though we hardly know what the builders thought or used the space for. Visiting with Mindahi and Jeff felt particularly profound. It makes a difference to arrive with people who are not in a hurry to see the most rooms, get photos of the best light or gawk at exotic forms. It makes a difference to walk slowly, hear the life in the trees that witness and hold space for pilgrims that come every day. It makes a difference to honor the sacredness of the land, the power of the structures and the ancestors that still welcome visitors seeking healing, comfort and connection.  Our first temple visit was a predawn pilgrimage to Angkor Wat’s north gate. We walked in darkness through Angkor Wat’s East Gate. We followed a path next to an ancient wall. We set up a ceremony space among the stones that have hosted pilgrims for more generations than I’ll know. Together we honored the ancestors in that place. When the morning light spilled through stone windows, it bathed us in a way only a place that has held sacred ceremonies for generations can. I knew I was tied to thousands of people who recognize the importance of the activities that connect us to those on the other side of the veil. The world’s small concerns are put in proper perspective when I’m reminded that I’m visiting for a short lifetime in a long lineage continuing to make a difference in the time we have. I’m so thankful that the Evolutionary Leaders have helped me connect with colleagues who can be with the sacred, visit our elders and grow ever more connected with the lineages we represent and carry on every day. An Adventure to GuatemalaBy John Perkins Our trip to Guatemala, the Lands of the Maya, will begin on Monday, March 31st and end on Monday, April 7th, 2025. Notes from the StormBy Gary Malkin As I embarked on my cross country road trip on 9/16 towards my ultimate relocation to the Asheville NC area, I got to witness from afar the extraordinary accomplishments from my beloved Unity.Earth and Pathways to Peace communities – and all their amazing global allies with whom they met in Japan and around the world, I’m so profoundly inspired and moved by their extraordinary triumphs, acknowledgements, and extraordinary acts of compassion, service, and unity they embodied and delivered! Thank you for showing us what it means to be Active Committed Global Citizens! Fate would have it that my path would ultimately involve an entirely different experience this last week. After an 8-day road trip across the U.S. during Global Peace Week to Asheville, NC, I am barely recovering from the strange synchronicity of arriving only two nights before the devastating hurricane disaster there. We’re only now seeing the havoc it has wrought – so similar to what happened in Pakistan last year – along with so many other places on earth at this extraordinary time of earth’s seemingly endless warning signs. For me personally, it took an enormous amount of Grace, Luck, Faith, and Perseverance just to get out of the area for my planned visit to see my daughter in NY. Getting the gasoline to leave the area amidst the devastation took nothing short of a miracle! Homes and businesses deluged under water, (see some painful pictures), endless roads and freeways shut down due to downed trees, water becoming unsafe due to no power at the water plants, miles of lines of cars (including mine!) waiting for gas stations to get fuel, zero capacity for ANY form of communication with anyone….and it’s still going on with no clarity on when anyone will get the power back or to have the ability to communicate! Thankfully I’m about to land (after a very long journey) to Western MA, where I’ll be working with my co-creative partner, Hope Fitzgerald, on our grief and resilience educational platforms. How ironic!  This disaster has been – and continues to be – an incredibly sobering experience that gives us the opportunity to reflect (if we’re on dry ground,of course!) on how helpless we are without all our modern digital devices. A couple of nights before, as I had the good fortune to have dinner with Holomovement Founders Emanuel Kuntzelman and Laura Rose during the stormy night before the hurricane hit us in full force, we were all excited about the plans being made for the Holomovement’s 3rd Global Gathering coming up on May 23, 2025. Now that the worst natural disaster in the area since 1916 has hit this cherished and special community of artists, musicians, healers and Lightworkers, the disaster sheds a whole new light on the importance of the planned gathering. As we grow to realize and embody the real truth of our interconnectedness on every scale, how then shall we live and serve one another as our beloved Mother Earth delivers dramatic signs to remind us that our lives are fragile, increasingly precarious, and coming towards the Climate Change edge as we ignore her constant messages, as they are getting more and more frequent and devastating with every year? The scientists say that storms with this much precipitation come from the Gulf’s water being unnaturally hot- 85 degrees!- and this is why these massive amounts of rain fall upon Asheville and the whole of the Southeast. Will we ever heed our Beloved Mother’s warnings? Hoe horrible must it get before we radically collaborate to implement the kinds of solutions we know are available to us that can bring us together the way people are doing now after such an attack on our daily life? As the Holomovememt prepares to host the next Global Wave in a community that will be surely transformed by the deep “medicine” that arises from coming together to, clean up, to serve and to comfort those who have lost so much, and collectively grieve so we can move on the joy and gratitude of being alive? Surely these regions hit with these kinds of tragedy will have a great deal of soulful, emotional, and pragmatic wisdom to share about the profound gifts that will undoubtedly emerge from becoming the lights that serve others who have been hurt from the darkness, as we all learn how to comfort, hospice and strengthen one another through these extraordinary experiences. I, for one, offer my life to serve others so that we can cultivate the maturing wisdom that emerges from the Grief Literacy and Resilience our Graceful Passages programs provide to alleviate the emotional wounds that are inevitably stored in our bodies, minds, hearts and souls. TEEMING came out in 2017––all about the deep patterns I’d observed in the field, as an evolutionary biologist and anthropologist. How could our organizations be more adaptive and effective? But then I needed a system to help companies apply it. Easier said than done! I worked up some prototypes, but it wasn’t until I met Ben Haggard from the Regenesis Institute for Regenerative Design that I saw the way forward. Ben and I were pitching Google on a big concept, and just before we went in, he drew me a simple framework on the back of a napkin. Follow this track, he said, and see what happens. Four hours and many whiteboards later, I was a convert. I started working with Regenesis faculty-member Chris Lopez in 2018, developing “living systems” frameworks that mirrored my findings in TEEMING. The TEEMING Transformation is the result! This is a workbook designed around a set of simple, powerful frameworks and principles, helping everyday leaders see their life and work more clearly, reveal neglected and suppressed potential, and provide a developmental path to unleash it. Right off the bat, these frameworks revealed 9 Critical Transformations we’ll need to make in our organizations, communities, and lives, if we are to unleash our inherent potential for teeming with life. Wyrder and WyrderBy Peter Merry Over the summer I could feel something shifting. The last three years I had dedicated myself to leading Ubiquity University into a new business, focusing on partner degree programs. I felt it was our best shot at making a successful business of the transformational learning we had been working so hard on. Now, with 27 partner degree programmes on top of our 4 in-house Wisdom degrees, I felt I had done what I could and am good at – namely bringing something new through and getting alignment around it. It was time to hand over to people who could take on the operations and really get it fully established. It’s been a great few years with a team whose loyalty and professionalism have touched me nearly every day. I will of course as a co-founder stay involved, but more in an advisory role. At the same time I was starting to sense the energy around our Wyrd endeavours building. Slowly, step by step, over the last few years, we have restored the equipment from the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) lab, made it available for the public at Wyrd Experience, and then further developed the technology to make products for people that would help them explore the interconnected world of consciousness. The Wyrdoscope was the first, a full-on consciousness research device with a software package to make the analysis easy. By Science and Consciousness in November we will have the first Wyrd Lamps ready to order – they will glow as a group comes into greater coherence. It’s what I call socio-feedback. Can’t wait for them to find their way to meeting rooms and retreat centres! Coming soon after that will be my favourite – Wyrd Toys that kids can interact with using their minds and hearts (think a car you can move with your intention or a teddy whose heart glows when you connect to it with yours). Then Wyrd Gaming with games online or on your devices that you an influence with your consciousness. You can see why this is what is now needing more of my attention. It is promising to be an exciting couple of years ahead. Starting a Free SchoolBy Steve Bhaerman  Throughout my first year teaching – either through our Antioch-Putney classes, or through our own reading and research — both Joel Denker and I had become interested in “alternative education” and what were then termed “free schools.” Many of these free schools were roughly based on the work of A. S. Neil, founder of the Summerhill School in England. These schools generally offered an unstructured approach and in some cases, the teachers let the kids do pretty much whatever they wanted to do. Having visited a few of those schools, just about every one of them was missing one key ingredient – A. S. Neill. Neill, an intuitive genius who knew how to read children and situations, was well-suited to running a school where kids had that much leeway. Most other teachers were not. I remember one school out in the country – well, it reminded me of Lord of the Flies. However, that was the extreme. The main legitimate complaint about the education system is that it was – and still is — based on a 19th century Prussian model designed to turn out obedient workers. This has recently been reported in publications like Newsweek and EarthSky.This ongoing research validates theories we explored in our book, Giza’s Industrial Complex, where we posited that the Great Pyramid and other structures in Egypt served as a form of ancient technology that used water. What It Took to Forgive My FatherBy Katherine Woodward Thomas I sat in the bleachers, eyes glued on my father as he dashed up and down the soccer field, somehow managing to keep up with 22 high school boys who were fiercely competing for a win. Sweat drenching his green shirt, and silver whistle dangling from his neck, he may have blended into the background as most referees do. Yet my Dad wasn’t just any referee. My Dad is the longest-running officiate in Long Island history. And, as he’ll soon turn 89, he’s also the oldest. To say I’m proud of him is an understatement. To say I love him doesn’t begin to put my feelings into words. I’ve always worshiped my father. He’s not only a seasoned sportsman, but was also an elementary teacher who eventually became principal of the school. After he and my mother divorced, I would cherish the days we had together. Yet when I was 10, in response to my mother’s remarriage, he made the choice to sign away his parental rights to my mother’s new husband. He thought he was doing the right thing. Particularly as my mother was threatening to take him back to court if he didn’t comply, and he had a new wife who felt it an insult he’d had a daughter before she knew him and forbid me to be part of their newly forming family. Yet when the visits stopped and the phone went silent, I lost my anchor in life and became emotionally homeless; spinning downward into the underbelly of eating disorders, addictions and promiscuity, as so many fatherless girls do. As my primary feeling toward my mother was fear, I felt utterly orphaned; a frozen sense of aloneness spinning a gnarly web in my solar plexus that took me decades to even begin to untangle.  When my father and I reconnected later in life, he spent years apologizing. I wanted to forgive him from the start, and I did things to try to facilitate things in that direction. Yet the consequences were so great, the residue so ingrained and the damage so deep. I was living with so many unhealthy patterns born from his mistakes. My tendencies to sleep with married men who were never going to be there for me when I needed them. Or the constant experience of being ghosted by people who mattered. Or years spent single and completely under supported in life . It’s one thing to pardon someone in theory, and another to outgrow the imprinting left behind in the wake of a wound.
