Plasma is the fourth state of matter and the other three – gas, liquid and solids – emerge out of plasma. This book will reveal how over 99% of the universe is made of plasma and how there are two gigantic clouds of plasma, called the Kordylewski Clouds, hovering between the Earth and the Moon, only recently discovered by astronomers in Hungary. Other revelations not previously known outside narrow academic disciplines include the evidence that in certain circumstances plasma exhibits features that suggest they may be in some sense alive: clouds of plasma have evolved double helixes, banks of cells and crystals, filaments and junctions which could control the flow of electric currents, thus generating an intelligence similar to machine intelligence. We may, in fact, have been looking for signs of extra-terrestrial life in the wrong place.

The Formula is a new approach to metaphysics in which a unifying framework is presented that allows one to compare metaphysical topics and experiences to one another and to be able to tell the difference between folklore and the true, underlying causes of metaphysical experiences. In addition, it acts like an instruction manual that, when followed and applied in daily life, can create a sense of fulfillment and allow one to experience self-empowerment and stay positively aligned with one’s purpose and path in life.

As The Handbook of Near-Death Experiences: Thirty Years of Investigation makes clear, great controversy exists in the medical and psychological fields concerning NDEs. Are they caused by physiological changes in the brain, or are they biological reactions to oxygen loss or impending death? Are they a product of changing states of consciousness? Or are they caused by something else altogether? All of these ideas and more are discussed in this unique and comprehensive volume.

Precognition is the scientific name for the knowledge or perception of the future, obtained through extrasensory means. Often called ‘premonition’, precognition is the most frequently reported of all extrasensory perception (ESP) experiences, occurring most often in dreams. It may also occur spontaneously in waking visions, auditory hallucinations, flashing thoughts entering the mind, the sense of “knowing” and physiological changes. Combining science and practice, Theresa and Dr. Julia Mossbridge unravel the mystery of precognition.

Supreme Court Overturns ‘Right v. Wrong’

Published: January 18, 2012 (TheOnion.com)

WASHINGTON—Striking down the judicial precedent that established the legal supremacy of right over wrong more than two centuries ago, the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday overturned Right v. Wrong.

The landmark reversal—a bitterly contested 5-4 decision that has been widely praised by murderers, rapists, bigots, usurers, and pro-wrong advocates nationwide—nullifies all previously lawful forms of right and makes it very difficult for Americans to make ethical decisions or be generally decent human beings without facing criminal charges.

“It is the opinion of this court that the Constitution was crafted in such a manner as to uphold and encourage practices that are not right and, ideally, are very wrong,” Justice Antonin Scalia wrote for the majority, which also included Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy, and John Roberts. “Despite the compelling case for goodness, truth, and justice made by our predecessors in the case of Right v. Wrong, we firmly believe that malice, dishonesty, and injustice were the framers’ original intent.”

“The ruling today rights an age-old wrong in which right has consistently, and unconstitutionally, prevailed,” Justice Alito wrote in a concurring opinion, adding that the decision between right and wrong did not present a difficult choice for him. “It is clear the earlier court erred when issuing the Right decision.”

The ruling in Right v. Wrong was handed down in 1790 by the Supreme Court’s six original members, all of whom sided with the plaintiff, prompting Chief Justice John Jay to write, “It is the emphatic province and duty of this highest judicial tribunal to rule in favor of Right, as the argument in support of Right is the right one, and the argument in support of Wrong is the wrong one.”

Since that time, the verdict has been cited in most legal rulings at the state and federal level, and has been upheld by the Supreme Court numerous times, most notably in a 1974 opinion overturning a Six Circuit Court of Appeals decision that would have re-segregated the nation’s schools, abolished the minimum wage, legalized evil, and allowed law enforcement officials to conduct searches and seizures without a warrant.

This term, the high court agreed to hear the appeal of an Arizona state judge’s ruling for the defendant in the case of Good v. Bad, a decision that had once more called into question the basic tenets of Right v. Wrong.

“If you look at the current makeup of the court, the verdict is hardly surprising,” said law professor Erwin Chemerinsky, adding that given recent decisions to permit unlimited corporate spending in electoral politics, crack down on civil liberties, and allow the execution of Troy Davis to proceed, he believed the justices had been angling to do away with Right for some time. “It’s long been clear Roberts and Alito were in the camp favoring wrong, and Scalia’s passionate criticism of the Right decision almost certainly swayed Justice Kennedy.”

“As for Justice Thomas, he was practically asleep when the attorneys representing Good gave their oral arguments,” Chemerinsky added. “In terms of his job, that was definitely the wrong thing to do, so he made it pretty clear which side he was on.”

Many constitutional scholars have argued the ruling sets a dangerous precedent whereby violent criminals could conceivably appeal their convictions and, citing the federal judiciary’s rejection of Right, be acquitted of their crimes.

According to reports, the impact of the verdict has already been felt, with a Massachusetts man murdering three people this morning in front of several Boston police officers who by law could do nothing but watch. In addition, a woman who volunteered at a Toledo, OH soup kitchen has been arrested, sentenced to six months in jail, and fined $25,000.

“This ruling is so broad that even those who show an intent to do right can be prosecuted,” said Martha Minow, dean of Harvard Law School. “Make no mistake, the court is sending a message to pro-right supporters that fairness and equality are no longer the laws of the land. And the decision has no chance of being overturned in the immediate future, because the bench will be dominated by pro-wrong advocates for years to come.”

Justice Stephen Breyer chose to read his dissenting opinion aloud before the court, a rare gesture apparently aimed at expressing the full measure of his disgust with the verdict.

“The court needs to overturn this ruling immediately because, simply put, it’s the right thing to do,” said the associate justice, who,  along with his colleagues joining him in the minority, was then arrested by Capitol Police, placed into custody, and is currently awaiting trial.

Statement from President Joe Biden on the Equal Rights Amendment

JANUARY 17, 2025 (whitehouse.gov)

  1. HOME
  2. BRIEFING ROOM
  3. STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

I have supported the Equal Rights Amendment for more than 50 years, and I have long been clear that no one should be discriminated against based on their sex. We, as a nation, must affirm and protect women’s full equality once and for all.

On January 27, 2020, the Commonwealth of Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. The American Bar Association (ABA) has recognized that the Equal Rights Amendment has cleared all necessary hurdles to be formally added to the Constitution as the 28th Amendment. I agree with the ABA and with leading legal constitutional scholars that the Equal Rights Amendment has become part of our Constitution.

It is long past time to recognize the will of the American people. In keeping with my oath and duty to Constitution and country, I affirm what I believe and what three-fourths of the states have ratified: the 28th Amendment is the law of the land, guaranteeing all Americans equal rights and protections under the law regardless of their sex.

China plans to build enormous solar array in space — and it could collect more energy in a year than ‘all the oil on Earth’

Chinese scientists have announced a plan to build an enormous, 0.6 mile (1 kilometer) wide solar power station in space that will beam continuous energy back to Earth via microwaves.

The project, which will see its components lofted to a geostationary orbit above Earth using super-heavy rockets, has been dubbed “another Three Gorges Dam project above the Earth.”

The Three Gorges Dam, located in the middle of the Yangtze river in central China, is the world’s largest hydropower project and generates 100 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity each year. According to one NASA scientist, the dam is so large that, if completely filled, the mass of the water contained within would lengthen Earth’s days by 0.06 microseconds.

The new project, according to lead scientist Long Lehao, the chief designer of China’s Long March rockets, would be “as significant as moving the Three Gorges Dam to a geostationary orbit 36,000km (22,370 miles) above the Earth.”

“This is an incredible project to look forward to,” Long added during a lecture in October hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), as reported by the South China Morning Post. “The energy collected in one year would be equivalent to the total amount of oil that can be extracted from the Earth.”

Despite recent advances in the cheapness and efficiency of solar power, the technology still faces some fundamental limitations — such as intermittent cloud cover and most of the atmosphere absorbing solar radiation before it hits the ground.

Scientists have proposed a number of Space-Based Solar Power (SBSP) technologies which would continuously collect and transmit energy from sunlight in space, where it is 10 times more intense than at Earth’s surface.

But building an appropriately giant array would take many launches, meaning that most proposals failed to get off the ground.

To overcome this challenge, Long and his team are working on the development of the Long March-9 (CZ-9) reusable heavy-lift rocket, which will have a lift capacity of at least 150 tons (136 metric tons).

Besides being used for satellites, the rocket will also be key to China’s plans to reach the moon — where it wants to build an international lunar research base by 2035.

China isn’t the only nation eyeing plans for solar satellite arrays. The U.S. companies Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, the European Space Agency, and Japan’s JAXA space agency have also been investigating the technology, with the latter scheduling the launch of a small, proof-of-concept satellite this year to assess its feasibility.

Young, single men are leaving traditional churches. They found a more ‘masculine’ alternative

Stephan:

We have what I see as a serious negative cultural trend going on in the United States. Young single, mostly White, men don’t seem to understand what the role of manhood is about. They are frightened and resentful about gender equality. This is strongly reflected in what is happening to religious affiliation in America. On the one hand, hundreds of thousands are leaving any church affiliation. On the other hand, young, single, mostly White men, as I said, are moving from Protestant churches to affiliate, as this article describes, with highly orthodox Catholic sects thinking they are more masculine. It’s pathetic but true.

Young, single men are flocking to the Orthodox church after discovering the “masculine” Christian religion through online influencers.

Some converts said they felt disillusioned with the “feminisation” of the Protestant church and were attracted to the “authenticity” of Orthodoxy, which they claim pushes them physically and mentally.

Priests are now planning to open new parishes to accommodate the “tsunami” of young men who have converted since the pandemic.

They say that most of the new converts found the Orthodox church by watching YouTube videos or listening to podcasts.

Matthew Ryan, a former atheist, found Orthodoxy after he saw a comment about good and evil on YouTube after “hitting rock bottom”.

The science teacher, 41, who had moved to Salt Lake City in 2022 to escape New York’s “draconian” Covid rules, began researching the Bible.

This eventually led him to a one-hour YouTube video in which a Protestant visits an Orthodox church and speaks to a priest.

“I watched that, and […]

American Caesar: Trump’s Path to Power Mirrors Rome’s Darkest Days

How ancient Rome’s democratic collapse set the stage for America’s current crisis…

THOM HARTMANN JAN 16, 2025

Share

Last night, President Biden warned America that an oligarchy is forming in Washington DC and that it threatens our republic. Turns out, this is not a new story.

For 482 years (509 BCE–27 BCE), ancient Rome ran as a democratic republic. America has lasted in that state for 236 years (1789-2025).

The end of the democratic phase of the Roman republic was brought about by wealthy, elite Romans like Marcus Licinius Crassus (115–53 BCE) — the richest man in the nation at the time — who frankly hated the Roman “free bread for all” welfare system.

He and others like Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus (Pompey the Great, 106–48 BCE) wanted to end the voice of the public in political decisions (because they were demanding free bread, paid for with rich peoples’ taxes), so they used their massive wealth to promote rightwing authoritarian populism and buy off legislators who’d then be loyal to them.

This created political gridlock in the Senate, leading many Romans to lose faith in their democratic form of government.

Three primary elements were used by the morbidly rich of that era to erode the power of Rome and replace it with sycophants loyal to them: polarization and elite gridlock, the erosion of democratic norms, and the concentration of power in the hands of a small elite who funded and thus controlled Rome’s senators.

It took decades, but they finally succeeded in using that lack of faith in government to replace Roman democracy with Caesarism, aka authoritarian strongman rule, kicked off by Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon River to seize the seat of government in Rome and finalized by Augustus Caesar ending any semblance of democracy.

Here in America, a handful of rightwing billionaires have spent decades fighting to end the New Deal and Great Society programs that use their tax dollars to distribute “free bread” to Americans in the form of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, food stamps, quality free primary education, and cheap or free college.

While their efforts began in earnest in the 1970s following Lewis Powell’s infamous Memo, they really kicked into high gear when the billionaires succeeded in the 1990s in installing Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House.

Newt pioneered a new form of American politics based on political warfare, delegitimization of the US government and programs of the New Deal and Great Society, manipulation of the media, populist messaging, and using obstruction as a political strategy.

His efforts were amplified by billionaire-owned media like Fox “News” and rightwing hate radio, always trash-talking New Deal and Great Society programs, calling for more tax cuts to de-fund government, and encouraging hatred of politicians and the political process.

The result was political gridlock, the end of democratic norms of collegiality and compromise, and the concentration of power in the Speaker’s office and ultimately the GOP itself. This led most Americans (over 75%) to eventually lose faith in our government; out of that came today’s increasing calls for an American version of Julius and Augustus Caesar.

One of the first was rightwing blogger and JD Vance mentor Curtis Yarvin, who began arguing over a decade ago — with his “dark enlightenment” movement — that America needed a new Caesar to free us from gridlock and stagnation.

As JD Vance noted in a 2021 podcast:

“There’s this guy Curtis Yarvin who’s written about some of these things. One has to basically accept that the whole thing is going to fall in on itself. … The task of conservatives right now is to preserve as much as can be preserved and then when the inevitable collapse comes you build back the country in a way that’s actually better.”

Others who could be characterized (or characterize themselves) as American Caesarists include Trump advisors Michael Anton and Charles Haywood, and Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts.

So, here we are, with Joe Biden’s warning.

— Just like in the Roman republic, America’s morbidly rich and their business interests have funded efforts to denigrate popular government and its programs for decades, all to serve their own financial and political interests.
— Just like in the Roman republic, the politicians funded by these elite rightwingers and companies have crippled the ability of our government to meaningfully meet the needs of anybody other than their patrons.
— Just like in the Roman republic, this billionaire-funded gridlock has led the nation to widespread immiseration, homelessness, and a breakdown of the social contract, accompanied by the eruption of militia groups and billionaire-funded Astroturf movements like the Tea Party.
— Just like in the Roman republic, this seizure of government by rich men and its subsequent inability to meet the needs of the majority of its citizens has driven popular discontent, loss of trust, and calls for radical reform that includes an abandonment of democratic principles and the rule of law.
— Just like in the Roman republic, that call for reform has been met by a strongman figure who claims that he, alone, can fix things and who demands total loyalty and subservience from elected officials and the institutions of the state.

Trump has now crossed the Rubicon: he’ll be inaugurated in less than a week. He’s seized the government and, as we saw with his utter humiliation of Joni Ernst this week, is demanding Caesar-like pledges and performances of loyalty and fealty.

Next week, we’ll find out how closely Trump and his Caesarist allies will follow the ancient roadmap to replace democracy with oligarchy and then tyranny that was first pioneered by Gaius Julius and Gaius Octavius Augustus.

Will America fall like ancient Rome? Or will we, like we did in the 1860s and 1930s when oligarchs last tried to destroy our system, fight back and not only hold but improve our democracy?

Stay tuned…

Weekly Invitational Translation: Victims of childhood trauma can take on the role of victimizer of themselves.

Translation is a 5-step process of “straight thinking in the abstract” comparing and contrasting what you think is the truth with what you can syllogistically, axiomatically and mathematically (using word equations) prove is the truth. It is not an effort to change, alter or heal anything.

The claims in a Translation may seem outrageous, but they are always (or should always be) based on self-evident syllogistic reasoning. Here is one Translation from this week.

!)    Truth is that which is so.  That which is not truth is not so.  Therefore truth is all that is.  Truth being all is therefore total, therefore whole, therefore one, therefore sole, therefore united, therefore  harmonious, therefore orderly.  I think therefore I am.  Since I am, and since truth is all that is, therefore I, being, am Truth.  Since I, being, am Truth, therefore I, being, have all the attributes of truth.  Therefore I, being, am total, whole, one, sole, united, harmonious, orderly.  Since I, being, am truth and since I am mind (self-evident), therefore Truth is Mind/Consciousness (Two thtngs being equal to a third thing are equal to each other.)

2)    Victims of childhood trauma can take on the role of victimizer of themselves.

Word-tracking:
victim:  holy, animal offered as a sacrifice, helpless person
child:  womb, innocent
innocent:  not noxious, harmless
trauma:  harm
role:  to play a part

3)    To say that children are innocent (not noxious, harmful), implies that adults are or can be harmful.  Truth being one there is nothing other than Truth to harm It,  Therefore Truth (Oneness) is harmless, invulnerable. Since Truth is one, it cannot be divided between child and adult and since truth is harmless, therefore Truth is the innocence of Oneness.  Since truth is the inoecence of Oneness, it cannot take on the rolel of victimizer to anyone or anything including itself, therefore the only role that truth plays is Self-sustaining oneness.

4)    Truth (Oneness) is  harmless, invulnerable.
Truth is the innocence of Oneness.
The only role that truth plays is Self-sustaining oneness.

5)    The only role that Truth plays is Self-sustaining innocence.

Tarot Card for January 17: Princess of Swords

The Princess of Swords

When this Princess rules the day expect to come into contact with demanding or unfair situations. Use the clarity and insight offered by the card to cut away unnecessary rubbish, get behind the smoke-screens and see right to the heart of any situation that crosses your path.It is important to refuse to tolerate injustice or ill-treatment, but when you deal with situations such as this, be sure that your own responses and behaviour are moral and above board, otherwise you’ll find the Princess’s sword turning on you.Swords in general tend to suffer quite a bit of bad press, but this is based on a misunderstanding of the inner Arcana ruling here – Swords are about living life to the full, and appreciating its gifts… so long as you’re doing your honest best, given the situation you are in at the time, you will not provoke the wrath of Swords in your life. It is when you fail to live up to your standards, fail to treat others with the love and respect they deserve, that you come into contact with so-called ‘bad’ Swords. So it’s important to go for the high ground on a day ruled particularly by one of the Courts. It will be a day in which things are re-assessed, mulled over, straightened out. It may also be a day upon which unexpected and previously hidden things come to light. In this case, objectivity is the safest course of action, coupled with well-thought out action. If you do not actually come into contact with a situation which demands you deal with it, be sure and spend a little time thinking about where you place importance on morality and good standards… consider the things you see as ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, then check you’re living up to those standards.
