Precognitive Dreams with Paul Kalas

New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove Mar 25, 2026 Paul Kalas is adjunct professor of astronomy at the University of California, Berkeley. He is known for his discoveries of debris disks around stars. Paul led a team of scientists to obtain the first visible-light images of an extrasolar planet. He has been recording his own dreams since his teenage years. He is the author of The Oneironauts: Using Dreams to Engineer Our Future. He explains the process by which he came to rule out alternative explanations. One of these dreams, in particular, appears to have contained detailed information regarding one of his major astronomical discoveries. He suggests that the study of precognitive dreams could be accelerated through application of sophisticated computer analysis.
