Full Moon in Pisces
The Pisces Full Moon brings us more closely in touch with dreams, fantasies, and our creative abilities. We may interact with these realms and faculties consciously and purposefully, or merely as spectators; it’s really up to us. One way to work with dreams is to focus our intent before we enter their realm, by speaking to ourselves before we go to sleep, asking the mind to home in on something meaningful or helpful in our dreams. This could involve finding a solution to a problem, or showing us information to make sense of during in waking hours. This may be something we can achieve alone, if we feel we understand symbolism, or we could find more help via a group or specialist focusing on dream analysis.
Contact with the deeper parts of ourselves, whether understanding night-time dreams, daydreaming, or channeling creative or impact information, could be useful for picking up with a plan we began to get in touch with back around mid-April, when Jupiter and Neptune were conjunct. Although Jupiter has moved into Aries, the planet is retrograde there, suggesting unfinished business. Meanwhile, the Moon is applying to a conjunction with Neptune, the modern planetary ruler of Pisces, tapping into the murky depths of consciousness, where we may find links to people and aspects of life we have forgotten. Although it could seem the most authentic and constructive course of action to focus on the present, psychology suggests that all our responses — what we think, feel, and do — relate to our past roots and references. Sometimes it helps us to be aware of such connections.
Conversely, we may be happier forgetting certain aspects of the past, not wishing to disturb what’s settled — at least on the surface. Ironically, Neptune has the capacity to wave something like a magic wand over past pains and problems, represented by the Moon separating from a square to Mars. This can help us to forget anything that’s been hard to bear.
All of this occurs against the background of Mercury turning retrograde in Libra, the sign of relationships, with an emphasis on balance, and continues its retrograde back into Virgo where it looks for the truth of things. Given the retrograde movement, there may be loose ends to tie up or bridges to mend in certain relationships before a plan or dream can go forward, or even just in order to feel resolved and at peace with the matter.
The Moon, meanwhile, also applies to sextile Uranus and then Pluto (conjoining Neptune in between), with the outer planet connections suggestive of newly favorable, external circumstances helping us out. We might need to hunt out certain opportunities or take prompt action to make the most of them, but they are there for the taking.
Not all surprise developments are pleasant, of course. Uranus, particularly, might offer an early wake-up call about a possible problem ahead, or a loose cannon in our midst. We should trust our instinctive feelings are spot-on about a connection with someone being potentially awkward, for instance. But we may also learn of an opportunity to help another in a way that won’t impact us too much, but could be immensely valuable to them, so we should offer what we can give freely and easily.
