Grok Conversation: Did Charlie Kirk advocate for the execution of Biden?

Yes, Charlie Kirk called for Joe Biden to receive the death penalty in July 2023, describing it as punishment for “crimes against America.” During an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, he stated: “I know what you’re thinking, we’ve got to get Joe Biden out of the way so we can run against Kammy. Oh my goodness, is she beatable. … [Biden] should be put in prison and/or given the death penalty for crimes against America.” This remark was in the context of criticizing Biden’s border policies as treasonous. The statement was widely reported and criticized at the time by media outlets and commentators, who viewed it as inflammatory rhetoric. Kirk has a history of advocating strongly for capital punishment in various contexts, including public and televised executions, but this specific instance directly targeted Biden. No evidence suggests he retracted the comment.

  1. Herein lies the problem with the AI systems we currently have: is the AI’s answer factual or made up? I have no way of knowing just reading the answer. I’ve learned a bit about Kirk’s views since he was killed, but nothing specific about capital punishment.
So I’ll just have to look it up.
I did find one post on X attesting to Kirk saying this. Also that Kirk was a big advocate of the death penalty, so the statement from Grok, which is not considered particularly reliable, seems to be true.
