The Witch’s Broom

A river of starlight known as the Western Veil (the “Witch’s Broom”) drifts across the night, a remnant of ancient fire whispering through the cosmos. In its delicate threads — a portion of the Veil Nebula, catalogued as NGC 6960 within the larger Cygnus Loop supernova remnant — we glimpse 52 Cygni, the bright star set against the filamentary arc. It stands as a reminder of both the vastness of time and the quiet invitation to wonder that unites science and spirit.
