Kimberly Saavedra A meditation on our loss of the intelligence of the Heart, the Holy Grail of Love. With this loss, our world has become a wasteland. We are destroying ourselves, our children, and our world. How do we find the frequency of Love, the wisdom that can heal us? Just as with the Knights of old, this question is our call to take the labyrinthine journey deep within ourselves. For it is here that we can discover our own unique gifts of the Heart. The gifts of the heart can heal this wasteland where toxins are destroying life; children are murdered in their schools; LGBTQ individuals are marginalized and murdered; genocide continues against Native Americans; and systemic injustice, cruelty and murder are still perpetrated against African Americans and other people of color. Our decayed beliefs, ideas, and prejudices can only be healed from within. When we work on what has decayed, we activate an energy field whose laws support our transformation. In this energy field of love, we create a new consciousness that can change the world. We become Merchants of Light who transmit the vision of the Holy Grail. The ancient Egyptian shamans and mystics were, in fact, Masters of Light. They knew how to take the journey into their own darkness and transform it into light. The Pharaoh was Egypt’s symbol of this inner journey that we must all take to confront the darkness and fuse within our own consciousness the archetypes of death and life. This profound transformation of consciousness allows the Pharaoh to desire and love the divine feminine who now awakens his entire body, heart, and mind to the frequency of love. These great mystics knew that it was this consciousness that stabilized the spirit world in the physical world and allowed the heart frequency of the cosmos to flow through us and the world. This was the journey that renewed and sustained Egypt. On the other hand, King Arthur reflected a land in which the King no longer knew how to take this journey into darkness and death. He no longer knew how to die or how to fuse the archetypes of death and life within his own consciousness. He had lost the intelligence of the heart and was no longer able to love and honor the sacred feminine. Camelot fell into a wasteland – and so have we. Now we are being called to take the sacred journey to discover the intelligence of the heart. Betty J. Kovacs received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine, in Comparative Literature and Theory of Symbolic/Mythic Language. She taught Literature, Writing, and Symbolic/Mythic Language for twenty-five years.
