1960s Psychiatric interview with Gay Teenager

Pika Grape Snack Homosexuality was considered a mental illness until the 1970s. See also: “Homosexuality and American Psychiatry: The Politics of Diagnosis” https://amzn.to/2OfDhPW This psychiatric interview is with a male adolescent demonstrating a schizophrenic reaction. The patient describes fantasies, “grey dreams” and other hallucinations that have been occurring recently. After a general discussion, the patient explain guilt and embarrassment associated with being gay. The differential diagnosis given is homosexuality. Can anyone from that era tell by his (admittedly somewhat generic) clothing if this was filmed in the early 60s or late 60s? The film was published in 1969, but I have some suspicion it was filmed in 1963. I haven’t been able to confirm either way For more content like you see on this channel https://www.patreon.com/PikaGrapeSnack
