New Thinkin • Apr 30, 2025 Beverly Rubik, PhD, a biophysicist, is president of the Institute for Frontier Science. She is a former president of the U. S. Psychotronics Association. She is also professor of integrative medicine at Saybrook University. In this video, rebooted from 2019, she points out that the notion of “aether” goes back to Aristotle, although she views it as akin to the Sanskrit concept of “akasha”. It is the matrix within which all experience, and wave-propagation in particular, occur. She describes the thinkers who advanced the idea of the “aether” and she points out how we now have an assortment of new concepts — such as dark matter and dark energy — that have replaced it. New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).
