Rabbi Lawrence Kushner, a leading Jewish theologian, is author of numerous books including The River of Light, The Book of Letters, The Book of Words, and Invisible Lines of Connection. He has held many appointments and is currently scholar in residence at Congregation Emmanu-El in San Francisco.
