I am scratching my head and saying WTF constantly as the media reports fake news to the masses. What really makes me scratch harder and faster is that many people have become totally numb to it. “What can I do about it” many say. Much of the news is dumbed down, and other news reported that is like, “what color dress is the first lady wearing now’, instead of relevant news that affects our health, climate change, and our personal constitutional rights. It is scary and almost makes me want to drink over it. But I won’t let it make me give my power to self destructive behavior or becoming unconscious about the issues at hand.
Topics like civil rights, healthy air, food, and climate take the front seat to the dumbed down fake news. News media that are bought by major corporations to print what enables them to gain power and make money.
In any event, let us all be advocates of the Truth and relevant facts in the news. Demanding satisfying answers and not accepting what is being spoon fed us all. There is a revolution going on, simmering and gestating now among many separate groups. Sooner, more than later, these groups are going to network and become one powerful agent for conscious change. There are some powerful Spiritual Gangsters that are very well educated within the system and not willing to accept the things that they once thought they could not change. It is time for revolution and change. To revolve, and turn, turn, turn, as the rock song title and sang by the Byrds of the 1960s sang out. There is a season to stand up and revolt to this revolting “dumbing down” and fake news that is being dished out by the media. The times they are a changin’ as Bob Dylan announced also in the 60’s have trule arrived on our front door step, and can no longer be avoided. There is a revolution erupting, under current in many ways now, but not for long.
Talk to everyone you know about this. Text them and email them. Confront the lies in your community. The Prosperos, the MCC church, The Bathtub Bulletin, and the Portland Queer Monthly are my informative associations I align with to be heard. Those are mine, and there are many others have been change agents for the “coming out” of the Truth. Those are just a few in my community of organizations that empower me to move forward, and not be paralyzed by the WTF scratching of my head. I don’t want to be intellectually bald! Ask yourself what are you thinking and feeling about current news and WTF is going on in the world! Speak out and take action in your community.
Your thoughts and feelings are what make up the community. Be an activist in your local community, state, federal and global communities. Write, talk, share so the consciousness revolution can evolve forward. Yours and the collective evolution of consciousness. May we bring awareness, love and caring to ourselves and community. Not just go about making a buck and mechanically go to sleep because we feel hopeless or it is inconvenient to our daily routine.
