Rogers Williams, for example, the founder of Rhode Island, spoke five different native languages and wrote a book about them. Benjamin Franklin was also very close to Native leaders. The Founders were inspired by the egalitarian society of Native Americans and the Iroquois Federation served as a model for the original Articles of Confederation. New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Original Politics: Making America Sacred Again
To recreate a whole and sacred America, it is important to piece together the forgotten fragments of history that are currently keeping the country divided. Just as a traditional Native American potter begins a new pot with shards of old pots—honoring the ancestors, bringing the energies of the past into the present—Original Politics re-constellates the nation as a whole out of the seemingly disparate shards from our origins.
