If Non-Duality Is True, What Does It Mean for Us? | Rupert Spira & Bernardo Kastrup (Part 2)

“When you see the world you see God.”

–Nisargadatta Maharaj

Rupert Spira Jun 3, 2022 If non-duality or the consciousness-only model is true, what does that mean for people, relationships and the world? Rupert joins Bernardo Kastrup, scientist and author, for a second conversation on the exploration of where science meets spirituality. Moderated by Simon Mundie, the discussion covers various topics, such as what the implications are for our inner life when our core self is not defined by limitations. In particular, how our feelings, emotions and relationships change. Also, how our outer life changes when we understand that we are all made of the same reality or being. Such as how we deal with conflict in the world between people and nations, and what the impact of this non-dual understanding is on our physical environment. Rupert’s understanding of non-duality came through introspection and reason over 40 years of spiritual practice, while Bernardo’s came from empirical evidence and reason through his computer science and engineering background. It is significant how they both came to the same understanding of the nature of reality through different avenues and principles.
