Aries Full Moon

The Aries Full Moon may be noted as a “penumbral eclipse” by some sources, but, whilst there is no doubt about a close alignment of the Sun, Moon, and Earth at this time, TimeandDate.com confirms there is no lunar eclipse; that we won’t be seeing a reflection of the Earth (its shadow) on the Moon. Symbolically, therefore, we need to keep to what we know about alignments and accept that there’s a more equal balance between the Lights in this case. This may reflect in both parties in a situation having a fair crack at a certain outcome. Lawsuits may be more equably settled; partnership issues may represent both parties’ issues more fairly, and so forth. But let’s not forget that an Aries Full Moon is spotlighting individual needs, so that the opposite Libra Sun really does need to dole out those rays to everyone! There is a feeling here of enough to go around, so that the inner flame is kept nourished for all.

Nonetheless, Mars in Cancer makes a t-square with the Sun and Moon, which seems like an extension of the conflict of the square of Mars to the Sun and Moon earlier in the month, during the previous lunation. Yet maybe we could see the extra “arm” of the t-square — now that Sun and Moon are opposite, rather than conjunct — as another party involved, or a further viewpoint added. Maybe we now have binoculars, rather than just a telescope! And although the view may still be on one spot, perhaps there are two sets of eyes on it, requiring more than just one way to see the matter. Or, alternatively, a change to both eyes being set on a matter, instead of a focus being blurred or influenced by another.

Exactly how this all pans out in reality is anyone’s guess, since individual circumstances may well impact matters. But we are potentially offered either greater stress or greater flexibility in the t-square! Perhaps it’s going to be down to individual needs and preferences as to which way this leans. But if Aries has its way, the need may be for a fast solution!

Of course, in reality there are two t-squares in this chart — the other involving Pluto, which is opposing Mars. This means that, overall, we are dealing with the energy of a cardinal grand cross. And with Pluto in the ultimate degree of Capricorn, there’s a decided sense of “do or die” about this scenario! Or, more to the point, a pressure to ensure that something is managed, before it is too late and the chance is missed. So maybe the urgent Aries pressure to get things handled now is not in any way misguided!

Let us also not overlook the Sun’s trine to Jupiter, meanwhile, albeit that the planet is retrograde and seemingly pulling away. There can be times when Jupiter’s generosity is too much and, in Gemini, maybe there’s sensitivity towards saying the wrong thing. At best, there could be a moment of “Just saying …” and then realizing that this utterance is stirring things up. And although Jupiter may represent some element of truth, perhaps there isn’t just one truth presiding over the meaning and complexity of a given situation.

This could, of course, seem challenging to anyone who is quite convinced that their story is the whole truth and nothing but! In an ideal situation, it will be possible to acknowledge that what each person witnesses and experiences has value. Juno is once again tagging along with the Sun in Libra, hinting at that yearning to fulfill the equal relationship ideal. Meanwhile, the Aries Moon conjoins Chiron, suggesting that some healing is indeed required, but may need someone’s overlooked passion to be acknowledged. Or maybe just a nod towards the need for a timely resolution to a matter. Not everyone can be both fair and patient at every turn! And there are instances where failing to act with speed simply gets nobody anywhere. So the stars might ultimately direct us towards a place where all parties manage to negotiate a reasonable meeting point.
