The Baby Boom generation consists of those born from 1946 to 1964, which happens to coincide for most part with those born with Pluto in Leo which ran from 1939 to 1956 and part of 1957.
So this generation, my generation, like Leo, likes to make a big splash, likes to be the center of attention. The boomers came into their own in the ’60s, made money during the ’80s and began redefining retirement (and resisting death) in the 2010s.
In Carl Payne Tobey’s astrology, Leo represents the 1st house. The sign of “Look at me, world, here I am.”
And that’s certainly what the Boomer generation has been and continues to be about.
Pluto was in Leo from 1939 to 1956 (and also January to August 1957), the first time since 1700. During this 17-year period there arose (perhaps for the first time in the general population) the consciousness of and the will to create and direct one’s own play or destiny.
