New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlo Oct 4, 2025 James Tunney, LLM, is an Irish Barrister who has lectured on legal matters throughout the world. He is a poet, a visual artist, and also author of The Mystical Accord: Sutras to Suit Our Times, Lines for Spiritual Evolution. In this conversation, rebooted from 2020, he shares his interest, as a legal scholar, in understanding issues related to globalization — as it effects economics, the rights of indigenous peoples, intellectual property law, and national sovereignty. Of particular concern is the issue of governance and the protection of individual rights. He notes that various social movements have goals regarding the establishment of a global order under their jurisdiction. These include Catholicism, Islam, and Communism. The most dangerous competitor for world domination, and most likely to succeed, he believes, is scientism.
