“Rizz” is an internet slang term that means style, charm, or attractiveness, and the ability to attract a romantic or sexual partner. It can also refer to charisma, personality, or the ability to flirt. The term is believed to be an abbreviation of the word “charisma”, and can be used as a noun or verb.

“Rizz” was used colloquially before becoming popular outside of the African American community in mid-2021 through the efforts of American YouTuber and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. It went viral on TikTok, and Oxford University Press named it its word of the year for 2023.

Some examples of rizz include: A pick-up line, Going to therapy, A heavy Cockney accent, Inherent coolness, and An anarchist belief system.
