The Tarantula Nebula, some 340 light years across, as recently photographed by the James Webb Space Telescope. It is 161,000 light years away, located inside the Large Magellanic Cloud (a satelite galaxy of the Milky Way). The pale blue stars in the center are massive, young stars never seen before.
