And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Looking at this New Testament story as a literary device, perhaps Jesus calming the waters should was not meant be taken literally, but metaphorically. Perhaps what Jesus is really doing is not calming the literal seas but the emotional waters.
And this is something we can all do, if we choose.
